I was talking to a person who says that they are trans-gender. He gave many reasons why he was of this mind set and why he decided to act on this mind set.
Quoting scripture to him was a useless endeavor because where the Bible clearly disagrees with his position his retort was that there was inaccurate interpretation.
I searched further into this and found that there is a full blown movement, not called by any one name, to force the acceptability of bi-sexual; homosexual and transgenders on the CHURCH let alone society.
Why the Christian Church? I asked. I have come to believe that this is where this battle will be won or lost. If the Bible can be revised according to their standards the law of the land does not stand a chance.
While this is not a scholarly dissertation, even a casual perusal of our nations history will show that the pillar upon which this society rests is the Bible handed down throw thousands of years, thereby being time tested.
For the sake of argument they like to quote:
Genesis 19
Leviticus 18:22 and 20:13
Deuteronomy 23:17-18
Judges 19
I Kings 14:24 and 15:12
Romans 1:26
I Corinthians 6:9
I Timothy 1:9
Jude 7
As being scriptures used to bludgeon them with. They seek to find loop holes in the scripture threw which they can squeeze. They deem these scriptures indeed the whole tomb of the Bible as words written by mere men alone . They fail to see the inerrant hand of God though out all of scripture. They seek to interpret God according to their own proclivities.
While we must and do love these that have gone astray, it is critical that we STAND! firm on this. We must call sin what it is because the righteous and true God through His Word the Bible has declared it. This Christian society is showing cracks and dents, but we are the Lords own vanguard in Christ Jesus to stand against the gates of Hell. We must be innovative and creative in letting people know God has not failed them. He loves them, but He will not tolerate Sin.

What can we do?
I was thinking that in these days when the church has to find and re-establish it's footing in a secular society, we must begin to encourage and exploit the gifts which god has placed in the body. There are people who have gifts and talents that are practical in the work-a-day world. The now church must find a way to set these spirit-filled people in place so that they may effect the marketplace. We could start with less capital intensive things like a Notary Public or
Mentors and Tutors-( College interns who need those credits)
Legal clinics
Health Clinics
Food banks
Scholarships to Christian Camps...etc.
The list could really be endless if we put good hard thinking and doing behind it.
I think it's time for the church to be at the core of everyday life again.

Faith v. Fear
Walking by faith is a daily challenge. One reason is that walking this way feels like walking on clouds blindfolded. So then God tells us that we walk by faith and not by sight(2 Cor. 5:7). Even though we are taught that whatever is not of faith is not of God, our whole mundane existence and experience calls to our fears. From the primal screams of the just born to the mournful scream of our earth experiences, to our last breath we are drawn to our fears. So then God's word tells us that we should let our faith protect our vital parts (1 Thess. 5:8).
Faith is about hope and God always call us to hope(Jer. 29:11), a hope that He has exquisitely laid out for us in the Bible. We are to contend for this faith by comporting and acquitting ourselves as men (generic) (1 Cor. 16:13) who have a hope that is as glorious as God has shown us. Walk by faith and you will not fulfill the desires of the flesh. (Gal. 5:16)
